Since opening in 2011, Lel Wallace and Sarah Stuart have worked tirelessly to ensure they meet the needs of their local community and they pride themselves on their open approach.

Sarah and Lel believe a good funeral does not need to be an expensive funeral and they will do all they can to keep funeral costs low for their families. 

2020 has been one of the hardest and saddest of years for our local community. The funeral industry endured harsh restrictions during the first lockdown, and families were tightly restricted and controlled, bringing unending heartache within Somerset and beyond. 

Our role as Funeral Directors changed from one which involved close contact with our families, offering gentle support and face to face guidance to telephone arrangements and closed doors. As we slowly moved out of the Tiers, our role would change again but we know how far a hug can go to support someone and we have missed this contact with our families.

As we move into 2021, a new lockdown has, thankfully, not restricted funerals further – with crematoriums still allowing 30 people to attend in the chapel and burials allowing 30 at graveside. Our Church’s which  provide sanctuary and peace, are still restricted on numbers for funerals but our Ministers are  offering valuable support to our parishioners, with many learning new technology with Zoom and Skype.
