On November the 11th at the site of the new bench, tree and plaque commemorating the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War (which is situated between Wilstock and Stockmoor, overlooking the country park), a very small group of six held a two minute silence and Cllr Alan Bradford (North Petherton Mayor) laid a wreath on the bench.
Others present were the Reverend Jane Haslam, Phil West (ex RN), and councillors Les Pickersgill, Lucinda Spelman-Ives and Richard Ives. Let’s hope next year more are allowed to attend.
